With compact dimensions and a weight of just 2.8 kg, the CAT DX86 electric planer is a great choice for domestic or semi-professional carpentry work. The model features a 900 W electric motor and a blade rotating at 16000 rpm, which planes an 82 mm wide strip of wood material. The rotary knob, which also serves as the front handle of the tool, allows setting the planing depth from 0 to 3 mm.
During planing, the CAT DX86 electric planer, powered by a single-phase domestic mains supply, can eject shavings from the work area to either the right or the left. The tool comes with a plug that blocks one of the outlet ports and a dust and shaving collection bag. In addition, to keep the workspace clean, the planer can be connected to an industrial vacuum cleaner.
