Information on the methods of limiting and controlling the risks of fraudulent transactions when paying by bank card

Foreign Enterprise in the form of a Limited Liability Company “DNS GLOBAL” (FE LLC “DNS GLOBAL”), TIN 312372987 (hereinafter — the Company), publishes this information pursuant to the internet acquiring agreement (hereinafter — the IA Agreement) concluded with the acquiring bank (hereinafter — the Bank). The Company limits and controls the risks of fraudulent transactions when goods are paid for by bank card on dns-shop.uz (hereinafter — the Website) by using the Bank’s anti-fraud capabilities and implementing the restrictions provided for by the IA Agreement.

  1. 1. General provisions

    1. 1.1. Bank card payments for goods on the Website are made through the Bank and the payment services available at checkout.
    2. 1.2. The buyer enters the bank card details only on the secure payment page of the Bank or the payment service to which the Website redirects the buyer after the order is confirmed. The data is transmitted over a secure (encrypted) connection.
    3. 1.3. The Company does not receive or store the full details of buyers’ bank cards, including the card number, expiry date and CVV2/CVC2 code (clause 7.6 of the Public Offer).
  2. 2. The Bank’s anti-fraud capabilities

    1. 2.1. Cardholder authentication: transactions with Visa and Mastercard cards are confirmed via 3-D Secure (Visa Secure, Mastercard Identity Check); transactions with Uzcard and Humo cards are confirmed with a one-time code sent by SMS to the phone number linked to the card.
    2. 2.2. Transaction monitoring: the Bank screens transactions using its fraud monitoring system.
    3. 2.3. The Bank may decline or suspend a transaction that shows signs of fraud, as well as a transaction that has not passed cardholder authentication.
  3. 3. Restrictions provided for by the IA Agreement

    1. 3.1. Under the IA Agreement, restrictions set by the Bank apply to transactions, including restrictions on:
      • the amount of a single transaction;
      • the amount and number of transactions per card over a given period;
      • the acceptance of cards of certain payment systems, issuing banks and issuing countries.
    2. 3.2. Transactions that do not comply with the established restrictions are not processed by the Bank.
    3. 3.3. Money for goods paid for by bank card on the Website is refunded only to the card used for the payment (clause 12.2 of the Public Offer).
  4. 4. Fraud risk control by the Company

    1. 4.1. The Company may limit the number of units of one product in an order, the total value of an order and the number of orders per phone number (clause 6.4 of the Public Offer).
    2. 4.2. Payment by bank card is permitted only by its lawful holder or with the holder’s consent. If signs of a fraudulent transaction are detected, including repeated failed payment attempts with different cards, the Company may suspend the fulfilment of the order and request confirmation of the lawful use of the card and, if it is not provided, refuse to fulfil the order and refund the money to the same card (clause 7.5 of the Public Offer).
    3. 4.3. A paid order is handed over upon communication of the one-time code and/or the order number and presentation of the recipient’s identity document (clause 8.5 of the Public Offer).
    4. 4.4. The Company promptly notifies the Bank of detected transactions showing signs of fraud and, at the Bank’s request, provides the information and documents needed to check them.
  5. 5. Recommendations for cardholders

    1. 5.1. Do not disclose your card details, CVV2/CVC2 code, one-time codes or passwords to third parties. Employees of the Company and the Bank never ask for this information.
    2. 5.2. Place orders only on dns-shop.uz. When proceeding to payment, make sure that the browser’s address bar shows the address of the payment service or the Bank and the secure connection icon.
    3. 5.3. Do not proceed to payment via links in messages or emails from unknown senders.
    4. 5.4. Turn on notifications about card transactions with the bank that issued your card.
    5. 5.5. If you detect a transaction you did not make, immediately block the card through the issuing bank and notify the Company.
